Welcome to Atlantic Kite Festival
Atlantic Kite Festival Society was established in 2017 when it separated from its sister organization Indian Festivals Club of Nova Scotia (IFCNS). The goal of Atlantic Kite Festival Society is to encourage participants to “Fly as High as You Can”. This saying can be applied to the kite flying situation against wind and rain. However, the saying can also be applied to real life situations where we come across obstacles that we have to navigate through. The symbolism and traditional folklore behind kite flying is different from one culture to the next and is based on the history of that culture. Atlantic Kite Festival society aims to highlight the kite flying commonality among these cultures.

"A kite event organized well! The event truck's logo was fabulous. i enjoyed photographing the various kites and especially watching the young families attempt to fly their kites. I hope to see more and larger kites next year."

"This event is so much fun, for adults and children! We took our 1 and 3 year old and they loved seeing all the different kites! The bouncy castle was an added pleasure! The food is good and the kites are reasonably priced! Such a fun afternoon!"

"A great family friendly event & FREE for all to enjoy young & old! A playful event with variety and interesting kites in the very heart of the city! I can’t wait to watch this event grow over the next few years! It’s already added to my list of things to do for next year!:)"
